Adirondack Puzzles are miniature tile murals made with ceramic and hard board pieces about 2” square. Although there are fewer pieces than adult jigsaws, the fact that all the pieces are the same size and shape can be challenging to even the expert puzzle assembler. The puzzle is assembled on a wooden base with sides to hold the pieces together.

The ceramic tiles are attractive, but far more fragile than the hardboard ones. We strongly recommend that you protect your puzzle and spruce up your wall with a custom hand-made Red Pine or Deluxe Birch Bark frame. In all, 3 Frame Styles are available. When your family and friends have had their turn satisfying their puzzle challenge, permanently adhere the pieces to the wood base, and add the frame. Instructions are included with each puzzle.

The concept began as part of the proofing process for WallStyles, Inc. Some customers desired to see the quality of their image on real tiles, beyond the standard paper proof provided by WSI. After showing customers 2-inch tile replicas, several opted to put the pieces together without referring to the paper proof. Thus, the puzzle was born.
Hardboard tiles are durable. Pieces fit snug with no space between them. Good for multiple uses.
Ceramic tiles are meant for limited handling. We recommend adhering tiles to the backing. They make great wall hangings.
